At the Arboretum
Suzanne and her husband Bruce got to spend a wonderful week in Maui last week and we thought we would share just a snippet of what they did. Some people like to go on trips and plan a lot of activities and others would just like to go on the beach and rest. We are both somewhere in the middle on this issue. We both like the idea of resting and doing some activities. We hope you enjoy the pictures.
I just got back from a wonderful vacation to Maui with my husband and two other couples. We have been friends with these couples for about 30 years.
The weather was great, the scenery was beautiful, and the couples helped make the trip fun. We had great adventures and conversation. We ate great food at restaurants with views of the beautiful sunsets. We drove the road to Hana and made several stops along the way to hike to waterfalls, visit beaches, and picnic. We were told the drive would take about 3 hours. Our drive started at 8:30 am and ended at 10 pm. It was a long day but well worth it. Our group also booked a tour that took us up to the top of Haleakala Volcano and then everyone but I biked down. I took the van back with a tour guide. Everyone loved it. We snorkeled at the Sheraton Hotel beach another day and had one day to lay by the pool. All in all, a great time was had by all, but to me the best part was the friends we were with.
